Mesirow chief: ‘We’ve averted the Great Depression’ (Chicago Sun-Times)

In the year since President Obama took office and inherited an economyimmersed in the worst recession since the 1930s, economists say he hashad some key hits and misses in tackling the crisis that he now owns. “We averted the Great Depression,” said Mesirow Financial chief economist Diane Swonk said.
